- electronic ordinary passports=244,00 lei* (passport’s price) + 32,00 lei* (consular fee);
- temporary ordinary passports = 84,00 lei* (passport’s price) + 32,00 lei* (consular fee) + 100* lei (additional emergency fee).
Electronic Ordinary Passport issued within at most 30 working days. The validity period for the electronic passport is of 5 years and for childern under the age of 6 the same period is of 3 years.
Temporary ordinary passport is valid for 12 months and is issued within at most 3 working days, in the following cases :

for those who do not have the necessary time to wait for the issuing of an electronic passport;

in case the holder declares in writing that he/she follows to travel in states that are in state of belligerency or diplomatic conflict and his/her ordinary passport or electronic passport wears a seal or visa issued by the state with which the country he/she wants to travel to is in conflict;

when the holder’s ordinary passport or ordinary electronic passport wears valid visas, but the visa pages are fully used, therefore the travel to that state or to states other than those which issued the visas is no longer possible;

when the holder needs to urgently travel abroad and his/her ordinary passport or electronic passport is lodged with an embassy or consulate for obtaining a visa;
-
when a person under the age of 18 follows to travel abroad for studies, for participating in official contests or for getting a medical treatment without which his/her life or health is endangered and there is no time to obtain the other parent’s approval.
A supplementary fee of 100 lei as provided by the Law no. 248/2005 is payable for the issuing of the temporary ordinary passport in any of the above-mentioned cases.
THE APPLICATIONS FOR ISSUING ELECTRONIC ORDINARY PASSPORTS ARE AUTOMATICALLY FILED AND PRINTED WHEN THE REQUIRED DOCUMENTS ARE LODGED WITH THE PASSPORTS OFFICE
